Post Thrombotic Syndrome Study

ClotCare has been asked to “help spread the word” about an ongoing study of a treatment for post thrombotic syndrome (PTS).  PTS is a condition of chronic leg swelling, discomfort, and skin changes that is due to altered blood flow in the legs which often results for having a blood clot in the leg (deep vein thrombosis or DVT).  If you have been treated for a DVT and have leg swelling, pain, and/or discomfort, you may want to contact the sponsoring company, EKOS, and ask about the ACCESS PTS study which, according to the company, “aims to evaluate the success of an advanced minimally-invasive technique in treating ‘old’ blood clots and related conditions.  For more information please visit http://www.chronicdvtstudy.com

ClotCare is not participating in this (or any other) study; and we do not necessarily endorse the company or the study.  Rather we are simply providing information at the request of the company that is conducting the clinical trial.
